What's a Dude-Bro?  That's simple, normal people, that aren't trying to LARP being a tier 1 tactical operator.  When shopping or really doing anything in the shooting/2A space, it seems like everyone acts like such Hard-O's trying to out tactiCOOL everyone else.  We get it, they take it seriously, and while you do you boo boo, we personally think that it can be taken down a notch.

We take the 2nd Amendment seriously, and also are very serious about firearms - from safety to training to just grabbing groceries with your family, or walking your dog, or really doing anything you want (legally) within this great country of ours.  We don't care what color/gender/political affiliation/sports team/preferred firearm brand/tribe you belong to or choose to associate with as long as you're not an ass.  That's what is so great about the United States, you can do you boo boo, and you should.  We just want to help you do it while carrying safely.

The 2A/shooting community is typically made up of great people, but there are some less than awesome folks in the mix too.  Even without those people, it can definitely be intimidating for newcomers to get in where they fit in, and so we want to offer our assistance to anyone with questions, happy to share what little we do know, and point towards those that know more in search and sharing of knowledge.  Especially if you are a member of a group that might face some resistance elsewhere.  As long as you are a cool dude-bro, we want to be your dude-bro.  So hit us up dude-bro, and do know dude-bro is not tied to any gender/idealogy other than being good to each other and sharing this hobby/duty we love so much.

Now that we've covered that starting point - a little about myself (us) here at Dude-Bro.  I've enjoyed shooting since I was just a little guy (see that pic - I had that thang on me since day 1), shooting pellet guns before moving up to skeet shooting on the family farm (reigning champ too many years to count - and happy to let everyone know it at any opportunity -mostly to annoy my cousins).  I actually. never really was exposed to handguns until I bought my first one at 21.  My dad, who had earned his expert marksmen classification while in the Navy Reserves - GO SEABEES! - having only been taught to shoot  just 2 weeks prior to basic training by my uncle, swears that its was from buying me the gun magazines I had requested during a hospital stay when I was roughly eight or nine.

(picture is the Tuskegee national forest shooting range outside Auburn, Alabama [War Eagle] - this place is home to many first shooting memories all under no real supervision.  I learned that an armed society is a polite society as we never saw a single problem out there and trust me it was OUT THERE -  quick story - every single time we went out there we saw this same couple of regulars that pulled up in a Buick maybe worth $500 and would then proceed to pull out THOUSANDS of dollars worth of guns out of the trunk - best shooting advice given by these gents, "Just reach out and touch it", "it aint hard").

That first pistol, a Springfield XD in 45.ACP really woke something in me that I still can't explain.  I'd always liked shooting, and was always a decent shot, but it was around this time that I found my zen in shooting, specifically handguns, like it just quiets the world around me and I can focus on my task at hand like no other time.  That first pistol then turned into a 1911 obsession, and after acquiring several and then building one myself, I stumbled across a deal on an Sig P365.  I didn't even know about the whole modular Fire Control Unit and ease with which it could be customized.  I'm a car guy, and I love tinkering to make something my own.  That rabbit hole was deep, and to be honest I only get away from it because I have other responsibilities and a wife that I'd like to keep.  A small fortune spent on parts, and I've built and sold a few of the small SIG's and realized at some point that I couldn't find a holster for my fresh to deaf newest build.

Well I'm not one to sit still, so I ordered the basics to start playing with kydex.  A lot of bad holsters made, a lot of decent holsters made, and finally happy with my understanding of kydex/carrying/and a lot of time spent messing it up, I posted some pictures of reddit.  To my shock, not only did I get some love, I garnered real interest from people with real money that wanted to buy a holster from me.   That started while we lived in Tennessee, and then a job change took us to Idaho where it took awhile to get settled and back at it.  This isn't my day job, web design is definitely not my specialty, but it is fun learning and getting better at it.  This not being my day job means that I am not trying to get rich doing this.  That in-turn means I'm more concerned with sending customers something they truly like and are happy to have bought.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm a capitalist, and I like money, like a lot - so I don't do it for free, but I think I've found a comfortable medium where I can send a quality product that is affordable and pays me enough to get covered in kydex dust.  Hopefully you order one and agree.  If you've read this far, you are a dude-bro, and I'd love to hear from you and learn about your story.  Contact me, I truly mean that I would like to get to know you and grow a community of dude-bros.
